Jesus gave himself to us, and so we also want to give ourselves to others!
For the children who are suffering from hunger and sickness in Africa: from Sierra Leone and the Central African Republic
The project called “Jesus has been left out”, wants to bring Jesus back to the centre of Christmas. The project stared from an article that Chiara Lubich wrote where she told her experience of a time when she was walking down a street in Zurich. The windows were all displaying Christmas decorations but none of them had anything showing what Christmas was really about. The money raised from this Project each year is sent to those most in need.
Children from all over the world are developing activities to raise funds and help the children in Syria. You can help them too! Our country is in Asia… no! Actually, it is located in Indonesia! In the pictures, you can see us during one of our Gen 4 meetings. We all love going to this bridge to look at the fish! We love one another very much! We made the pact to love one another always! Look at us during the Christmas Party 2013! We invited many friends and some of then were a little bit older than we were – they have the same age as the Gen 3.
In 1998 during a meeting with some children from all over the world, Chiara Lubich responds to a question which they pose to her: “I want to become like Jesus. How can I do it?” Chiara made them discover the art of loving, the art of living love that’s revealed in the Gospel, namely:
love every person who passes us by, one at a time! Click here to find out how to do it: story 1
Be the first to love
like Jesus who came on earth out of love for us! Let’s not wait for others to do something good for us but let us love them first, and when we forget to do so we can always start again! Click here to find out how to do it: story 1
Love Jesus in others
He said: «Whatever you do to the least… you do to me». When we do something good to someone, even when it is difficult to love, let us immediately think that in that person, big or small, there is Jesus. For those who do not yet know Jesus, it’s enough to know that something good exists in each person. You can try it yourself: the more I believe in the other person’s goodness, the more do I get to discover it. Click here to find out how to do it: story 1 story 2 story 3
Love others as yourself
do to others what you would want them to do to you! We can therefore ask ourselves how we would like to be loved, and then let us do something good to our neighbor precisely in that way. Click here to find out how to do it: story 1 story 2 story 3
Love one another reciprocally
If we love one another, Jesus will be present with his love and he will give us so much joy in our heart.
as the sun shines on both the good and the bad, we can also love someone who is disagreeable or who treats us unkindly; sooner or later, we will discover that the other person will change. Later on, we can share to all the children present these six points written on the sides of a cube, the “Cube of Love!” story 1
This cube is unlike the usual cube which is used in games and in order to win. Instead, this one is different! Its sides have designs and phrases which can give you special joy, transform the world around you, and make many happy. Do you know that there’s a rule which many religions recognize? It’s the Golden Rule and it says: “Do not do to others what you would not want them to do to you.” In Christianity, Jesus is inviting us to love others.
