Soon it will be Christmas, one of the most important feasts of our faith: this year too we will celebrate Jesus who is born for us!
Before Christmas, the Church offers us a waiting period called Advent. It is the beginning of the liturgical year (twelve months in which we will remember all the important moments in the life of Jesus) and it is a reminder to help us prepare our hearts well, to truly bring Jesus, the ‘birthday boy’, back to the center of Christmas.
The Advent calendar that we propose, starts from the first Sunday of Advent (.../..../20....)[1], until Christmas Eve.
Each year you will pay attention together with your group/family to see which is the first Sunday of Advent and start filling in the dots from that day. The November and December dots that you don't need for that year... colour them as you like before you start!
